Oxbow Lake Cottagers' Association

The Oxbow Lake Cottagers’ Association was formed in 1975 by a small group of Oxbow Lake Cottage Owners. Membership has grown over the years, with over 70% of residents as current members. The Oxbow Lake Cottagers’ Association is dedicated to the preservation and protection of life on the Lake, as we have all come to appreciate it. The Association monitors activity on the lake, water quality, issues in the local community, among other things.

The Oxbow Lake Cottagers’ Association is a member association of the Federation of Ontario Cottage Associations and a link is provided here. We are also members of the local Huntsville – Lake of Bays Lakes Council and they offer good information for local cottagers including bringing lake associations together.

The Executive Officers of the Oxbow Lake Cottagers’ Association are:

Past President John Scarfe
President Jim Vigmond
Vice President Angie Heydon
Secretary John Lilly
Treasurer Diana Leicht

December 2011

Winter has come to Oxbow! Our first snowfall brought 12 inches of the white stuff and the lake is beginning to freeze around the edges.

Every year I take more pictures of the snow ladened evergreens bowing gracefully over touching the ground. It really can’t be helped! Such a beautiful sight!!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
And all the best in 2012!
